CONCERT REVIEW: Rocking Out With the Rock-Pop Band, Kitten

Chloe Chaidez of Kitten

The indie rock/pop band, Kitten came back to Cleveland Saturday night and opened for rock band, Blue October at The Agora. Looking out into the crowd, there was a huge display of love for Blue October and among them a sea of fans with kitten ears. Kitten came out on stage and took their respective positions as the leader singer, Chloe appeared and posed. As soon as the band started playing, the energetic Chloe took off like a light, hitting every angle of the stage as she crooned the lyrics to their single, Mercury.

They commenced to performing Pink Champagne off of their recently released EP of the same title. The energetic band danced and head banged while the lead singer Chloe went into her own zone doing flips, gyrating and at one time jumped in the air landing into a split.

The band played an awesome cover of the 90’s hit song, You Get What You Give by the New Radicals. At several points, Chloe climbs onto a speaker and interacts with the audience by climbing on top of the steel pedestrian gates while fans propped her up. I overheard new fans not only impressed with the music but in awe at the energy level. According to them, Kitten was the best opening act that Blue October ever had.
