Anderson.Paak and The Free Nationals brought the “Best Teef in the Game” to Jacob's Pavilion in Cleveland last night. With a lineup that boasted Grammy-nominated bassist, Thundercat and rapper Earl Sweatshirt; musically there was something for everybody.  

Newly added Free Nationals trumpet player, Maurice "MoBetta" Brown serenaded the audience with the first few chords of Anderson.Paak's single "Hearts Don't Stand a Chance" from his second studio album, Malibu.  Slowly a platform rose centerstage as .Paak made his debut while drumming along.  Cheeky Andy seemed to be in awe at the love that was shown by the sold-out Cleveland crowd.  He revealed that it was his first time performing in Cleveland and at times, he paused while smiling and blushing just to "take it all in".  During the show, as if planned the Cleveland steamship, "Great Republic" sailed behind the stage as onlookers cheered.

With the well-lit, visually appealing stage design; the 70’s feel of it all was very apparent.  While performing "Reachin' 2 Much", .Paak asked Cleveland to dance with him while leaping off of the stage and dancing through the crowd.  Fans literally jumped at that opportunity (hopping over seats, barriers and running down stairs) while following the course that Andy had set moving from the left side of the stage; along the back and up the right side.  It was incredibly impactful to see music have that type of affect on everyone.  During his set, .Paak shouted out "Rest in Peace Nipsey Hussle" as the stage lights went blue.

Anderson performed Jet Black, the crowd so riled up that they stomped on the bleachers while Andy smiled infectiously and no doubt showcasing his "Best Teef in the Game" while dropping his head in awe.  After about 45 seconds, he laughed in disbelief while urging the crowd to "chill" before going into his next song Suede.

.Paak finished up the night with his hit single, Bubblin' before the stage cleared.  Of course, it wasn't over until it was over and soon he and The Free Nationals made their way back on stage to conclude the show with Am I Wrong, Lite Weight, Come Home and last but not least performed a cover of Mac Miller's song Dang! in which Anderson was featured.
